I’ve got ballet on the brain as of late, and I’m loving it!
Perhaps it is due to the fact that I’m dancing more now than I have in the past 3 1/2 years –combined!
Maybe because I’m breaking in my first pair of pointe shoes since I was a freshman in college.
And maybe it is the fact that I’ve seen Swan Lake twice in less than a week!
{Yup, you read that right! Once with an adorable boy that stayed awake for the WHOLE thing & even showed me his variation of ‘swan arms’ and then one more time just because I HAD to see both casts.}
I just LOVE ballet! It is so easy for me to become simply {Obsessed} with it. It is like second nature. I catch myself drifting in and out of my ballet-way-of-life.
My mother says it’s an addiction.
I say it’s a passion.
Whatever it is, it has me walking on clouds, and regardless of the blisters, it feels great!
I hope you each take a moment today to ReMeMbEr your PaSSioN and feed your aMbiTioNs!
EnJoY!
**Shameless plug: Ballet West’s Swan Lake is running through the end of the week at Capital Theater and you should be there! It's Amazing!**
***Random Side Note: Did you know that when Tchaikovsky died, he thought he was a failure? Yes, that’s right, the composer of all the music for Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, and Sleeping Beauty, just to name a few, thought he was a failure! We should all be a little less harsh on ourselves!***
ooh Starlee - what are you up to? hope you will post more to let us know. you are always going for it! I admire your passion and love for life and learning and fun! You are inspiring!
