The Cabin Adventure

For the 4th of July weekend, my family headed up to the mountains for some fresh air, mixed with bug spray and campfire smoke - my favorite! ;) I go to the cabin about every 17th trip the rest of my family goes on. Not that I don't enjoy it, I usually just have something very important going on in the city...

This weekend my important things on my To Do list were,

Hike up to the Lake

Find crazy signs to take pictures of

Catch frogs (don't worry, I didn't actually touch any)

Find beautiful flowers

Enjoy hikes with beautiful views with the Fam

Check, check, and check! I must say this holiday weekend was a success!

Trip to Manti

Well, before Sky took off we decided to have one last ride in the big white suburban down to Manti. Skyler wanted to go through

the temple, and it was the first night of the Mormon Miracle Pageant. Perfect equation for a fun overnighter at Grandma and Grandpas!

Our day consisted of donuts at Miller’s (we call it Fly’s due to my father’s childhood experiences), a couple hours at the Manti park, a guided tour of Manti full of made-up facts, courtesy of Landen (who only has his drivers permit, which makes things interesting - and who knew the 'M' on the mountain really stands for Mammoth...), visiting with my sweet great grandma,

AND the pageant of course!

Overall it was a wonderful little overnighter & I don’t think we’ve ever had a more enjoyable car ride…no fighting, no yelling (except when the car behind us bumped into us), and only one mild case of car sickness ;) Got to love trips with the Fam!

Well, after many months of planning on creating a blog, stalking other people’s blogs, and even starting one for my brother, the day has finally arrived! So here it is, isn’t it cute?

I am the girlie-girl in a family of boys, and I love every minute of it! I am a Ute and a Cougar, and yes it is possible to have enough room in your heart for both {although every parent has a favorite child, and you can probably guess mine}. I love high heels and glittery jewelry, as well as curling up in comfy pajamas with a good book. My red hair is more than my defining feature, but a state of mind and a way of life. If you don’t understand, then stop blog-stalking and hang out with me! ;)
